JOBSAVES
Privacy policy

Your data stays on your device

Effective October 16, 2026

JobSaves is a Chrome extension for keeping a record of your own job search. This policy explains what the extension stores and where. The short version: JobSaves does not collect, transmit, sell or share any of your data. We have no servers and never receive anything you enter.

What JobSaves stores

Only what you type in or add yourself:

DataWhere it is kept
Job log entries: date, employer, job title, job link, method of contact, outcome, interview stage, notes, and which resume you sentchrome.storage.local in your Chrome profile on your computer
Settings: weekly goal and follow-up windowchrome.storage.local
Resume files you add to the resume libraryThe extension's own IndexedDB database on your computer

What JobSaves does not do

Permissions

JobSaves has access to LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, Dice, Greenhouse, Lever, Workday and Ashby pages and no other websites. It uses that access only when you click Fill from page: it reads the job post in your current tab and fills the form. Nothing runs on those sites otherwise, nothing from the page is saved unless you save the entry, and nothing is sent anywhere. You can limit or remove this access from the extension's details page in Chrome.

Retention and deletion

Exports and backups

If you choose Export CSV or Back up, JobSaves saves a file to your computer through Chrome's normal download. That file is not encrypted and, for backups, includes your resume files. Where you keep or send it is up to you.

Children

JobSaves is not directed at children under 13 and collects no information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
